Hello, I’m Anje.

I’m Anje de Beer, a final-year Visual Communication Design student at Open Window in Stellenbosch, double-majoring in Communication Design and Illustration.

Although I enjoy working digitally, I’ll always be a bigger fan of traditional art mediums. Watercolour and ink are my two favourites, and they continue to inspire much of my creative process — you’ll find their texture and patience in almost everything I make, even on screen.

Alongside my studies I run a small independent art business, @an__art_, taking on commissioned illustration work and creating gift illustrations. I’ve served as Editor-in-Chief of the campus newsletter and as Digital Marketing and Design Coordinator for the SRC — and I was twice awarded Open Window’s Cooperative Champion Award for Collaborative Excellence (2024 and 2025). Detail-obsessed, community-minded, animal lover.

I work in English and Afrikaans, and I’m available for internships and freelance work from 2026.
