Hello, I’m Anje.

I’m Anje de Beer, a final-year Visual Communication Design student at Open Window in Stellenbosch, majoring in Communication Design and Illustration.

I’ve become slightly obsessed with bringing the feel of traditional art into the digital illustration world. Watercolour and ink are my favourites, and I love finding ways to carry their texture, character and imperfections into digital work.

Alongside my studies, I run a small independent art business, @an__art_, creating commissioned and gift illustrations. I’ve also served as Editor-in-Chief of the campus newsletter and as Digital Marketing and Design Coordinator for the SRC. In 2024 and 2025, I received Open Window’s Cooperative Champion Award for Collaborative Excellence.

Detail-obsessed, community-minded and a lifelong animal lover. I work in both English and Afrikaans and am available for internships and freelance opportunities from 2026.
